Lake Life

Houts Reservoir is a great place for a blanket and a book next to the water. A great community around the reservoir invites a great place for laying out on your back porch looking at the beauty. The reservoir does not allow any type of watercraft or swimming. Fishing is allowed on Houts Reservoir which is known for holding some great catches. Common fish in the reservoir are Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Common Carp, and Rainbow Trout.

What To Do

Some days you want to lay by the lake but other days you want to get out and see what all the city has to offer. Houts Reservoir has something to offer the adults and the kids for pure entertainment. Fort Fun is one of those attractions that will keep the kids running until they can’t run anymore. Only 20 minutes from Houts Reservoir, Fort Fun is a lakeside fun house with mini golf, go-karts, and a skating rink along with so much more to make sure the kids go home ready for bed. Food is another important aspect of a new community and Loveland definitely has plenty of options to choose from. Whether it is burgers and fries or Chinese Cuisine there is always something to pick within a close distance to Houts reservoir. Pinocchio’s Italian is a residential favorite of Loveland and is known for high-end service in a more laid-back experience. Spaghetti, raviolo, cannoli, you name it and Pinocchio’s has it.

Hospital and Airport

UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies is only 10 minutes from Houts Reservoir and is open 24 hours a day. Northern Colorado Regional Airport is 10 minutes from the reservoir and offers mostly domestic flights with occasional regional flights.
