Bruce Lake real estate is considered a beautiful, but less active, market for lake homes and lake lots in Indiana.
There are typically around 10 lake homes for sale on Bruce Lake at any given time. The lake will usually have very few lake lots and land for sale.
Bruce Lake is a 245-acre lake surrounded by fine lake homes. It is located between Winamac and Rochester, Indiana.
The lake is 12 minutes from Pulaski Memorial Hospital and one hour from the South Bend International Airport. Sanders Foods and Kroger are both within 20 minutes of the lake.
Anglers on Bruce Lake can expect to reel in bluegill, channel catfish, largemouth bass, white crappie, and pumpkinseed. There are two boat accesses, one public with more limited parking and one private for-pay.
At the Tippecanoe River State Park, visitors can kayak on the river or hike over 23 miles of trails, some of which are accessible by horse. Primitive and electric camping, as well as cabins, are also offered.
On the Tippecanoe, anglers can expect to catch largemouth bass, yellow perch, walleye, muskellunge, bluegill, channel catfish, rainbow trout, white and black crappie, longear sunfish, rock bass, white bass, and warmouth.
Just under two hours away, Fort Wayne is one of the most populated cities in Indiana, second only to Indianapolis.
Sometimes known as the “City of Churches,” Fort Wayne is home to a whopping 360 churches, most of which are Catholic, Lutheran, and Episcopal.
Fort Wayne’s most popular attraction, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, is a 1,000-animal zoo consisting of over 40 acres in Franke Park. The zoo ranks among the top zoos in the United States.
For lunch, be sure to stop by the Fort Wayne Famous Coney Island, a 100-year-old Coney Dog restaurant that champions affordable prices and fresh ingredients.
If you want to live around a beautiful quiet lake amid the natural paradise that is Northern Indiana, take a look at Bruce Lake. It just might be the location of your next lake home!
