Big Pond is a 330-acre lake located in Otis, Massachusetts. It has an average depth of 15 feet and a max depth of 26 feet.

Big Pond is quiet during the week, but it is a well-known recreation lake on the weekends. It is approximately an hour south of Albany, New York.

Bradley International Airport, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, is about an hour's drive south of Big Pond. The closest location for urgent care is Fairview Hospital, 30 minutes west in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Big Pond is a great place for boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, and other water-related activities!

Located on the shores of the lake, Big Pond Beach is a family-friendly beach with a roped-off swimming area and a platform out in the water.

Behind the beach, a mowed grass field has several picnic tables and a boat-shaped playground with a swing set.

Big Pond is stocked every spring, and most falls with rainbow trout, brook trout, and brown trout. The lake also offers anglers brown bullhead, pumpkinseed, white perch, bluegill, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass.

A short 12-minute drive away is Tolland State Park, where the public is free to explore hiking trails, biking trails, mountain biking trails, seasonal hunting, snowmobiling, snow skiing, camping, and several different educational programs!
