A yearly BLHA membership gives residents access to a variety of fun amenities. There is a community garden, bocce ball area, fire pit, lighted pavilion, and an area for beach volleyball matches. There is even a beach for kids to play and a large grassy area for occasional community campouts and movies.
The local community chapel hosts a yearly Fourth of July celebration, where community members come together to cook food, enjoy the fireworks, watch the parade, and play games.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located 33 miles away from Berkeley Lake and Gwinnett County Airport being only 17 miles away in the city of Lawrenceville. This airport has a single 6,000- foot-long by 100-foot-wide grooved asphalt runway. There are more than 50 aviation-related tenants, almost 200 hangars, and about 300 aircraft based at the airport.
